Extend Desktop Across Multiple Monitors

  1. Connect the Monitors

    • Plug the second monitor into your computer using the appropriate cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, etc.).
    • Ensure both monitors are turned on.
  2. Open Display Settings

    • Click the Start button (Windows icon) in the bottom-left corner.
    • Select the Settings app (gear icon).
  3. Detect Multiple Monitors

    • In the Settings window, click System, then Display.
    • You should see both monitors displayed as rectangles with numbers. If not, click Detect.
  4. Choose Display Mode

    • Scroll down to the Multiple displays section.
    • Click the dropdown menu next to Multiple displays and select Extend these displays.
  5. Apply Changes

    • Click Apply to save the changes.
    • Confirm the changes if prompted.

Tips

  • Rearrange the monitor layout by dragging the numbered rectangles.
  • Adjust resolution and scaling for each monitor individually.
